En décembre 2020, l’Association des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires autorisés de l’Ontario (WeRPN) a mené un sondage en ligne auprès de 765 infirmières et infirmiers de l’Ontario. Ce sondage exhaustif a examiné l’impact de COVID-19 sur les IPA de la province. Le sondage a mis en lumière les réalités des infirmières et infirmiers, tant au travail qu’à la maison, et a révélé que les IPA sont confrontés à un point de rupture critique, à un bilan alarmant en matière de santé mentale et à un stress financier en conséquence directe de leur travail depuis que la pandémie a frappé en mars 2020.
In December 2020, the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (WeRPN) conducted an online survey among 765 nurses across Ontario. The comprehensive poll examined the impact of COVID-19 on RPNs in the province. The survey highlighted realities for nurses both at work and at home and revealed that RPNs are facing a critical breaking point, alarming mental health tolls and financial stresses as a direct result of their job since the pandemic hit in March 2020.
