L’amélioration du respect de l’hygiène des mains (HH) est l’un des objectifs les plus importants, mais insaisissables, de la lutte contre les infections. L’objectif de cette étude était d’utiliser le modèle de capacité (C), d’opportunité (O), de motivation (M) et de comportement (B ; COM-B) ainsi que le cadre théorique des domaines (TDF) pour comprendre les obstacles et les facteurs qui favorisent les comportements d’hygiène des mains dans une unité de soins intensifs (USI) afin d’identifier des interventions spécifiques pour améliorer le respect de l’hygiène des mains.
Improving hand hygiene (HH) compliance is one of the most important, but elusive, goals of infection control. The purpose of this study was to use the capability (C), opportunity (O), motivation (M), and behaviour (B; COM-B) model and the theoretical domains framework (TDF) to gain an understanding of the barriers and enablers of HH behaviours in an intensive care unit (ICU) in order to identify specific interventions to improve HH compliance.
