Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in collaboration with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has released a new infographic titled, “How to Read a Disinfectant Label.” This infographic provides environmental services (EVS) staff with tips on where to find key information found on EPA-registered disinfectants. Safe use of disinfectants is only one part of the Core Components of Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection, and this infographic highlights additional information such as active ingredients, directions for use of the product, and contact time, which are all important to ensure appropriate environmental cleaning and disinfection.
