L’objectif de cette étude est de déterminer si un programme proactif de santé mentale parrainé par l’employeur et comprenant des services de conciergerie a permis de combler les lacunes en matière de détection et de traitement des troubles mentaux.

Mental health conditions are prevalent, undetected, and undertreated, especially after stressful life events. The proportion of individuals with mental disorders who go untreated exceeds 50% for many conditions, yet the burdens to the individual, to society and to the employer are important : depression alone in employees accounts for up to 37% lost productivity, even when excluding short- and long-term disability. Early mental health treatment has been shown to be clinically beneficial and cost-effective in a health system setting. The aim of this study is to determine if a proactive employer-sponsored mental health program with care concierge services closed gaps in detection and treatment of mental health conditions. Authors found that the program identified risk, connected individuals to mental health care, and facilitated mental health treatment among program participants.
