Récemment, les Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) ont publié des recommandations selon lesquelles les respirateurs à valve d’expiration ne doivent pas être utilisés pour le contrôle à la source ; la préoccupation théorique serait que les HCP portant un respirateur à valve et ayant une infection asymptomatique par le CoV-2 du SRAS pourraient transmettre ce virus. Nous proposons le point de vue suivant et les stratégies suggérées pour répondre à cette préoccupation théorique.
Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have published recommendations that respirators with exhalation valves not be used for source control; the theoretical concern would be HCP wearing a valved respirator who has an asymptomatic infection with SARS-CoV-2 might transmit this virus.2 We offer the following viewpoint and suggested strategies to address this theoretical concern.
