Muni d’un fusil semi-automatique de type AR-15 et d’un pistolet semi-automatique de calibre 40, il a franchi une porte non sécurisée depuis un parking jusqu’à une clinique située au deuxième étage. Deux agents de sécurité de l’hôpital sont arrivés les premiers sur les lieux, mais lorsque la police est arrivée quelques minutes plus tard, le tireur s’est tué lui-même avec son arme de poing, selon les autorités policières locales et les responsables de l’hôpital.
It was late afternoon on June 1 when a disgruntled patient entered a medical building next to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carrying an AR-15–style semiautomatic rifle and a .40-caliber semiautomatic pistol, he walked through an unsecured door from a parking garage to a second-floor clinic. There he fatally shot an orthopedic surgeon who had recently treated him, as well as a sports medicine physician, a nurse assistant, and a patient who was trying to help his wife escape.Two hospital security guards reached the scene first, but when police arrived a few minutes later, the gunman fatally shot himself with his handgun, according to local law enforcement and hospital officials.
