Ce rapport fait partie des résultats du 1er projet DoCUp et vise à identifier les défis auxquels le secteur des soins a été confronté suite à la pandémie de COVID-19.
This report is part of the 1st DoCUp project result and it aims to identify the challenges that the care sector has experienced as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. First of all, many countries identify the need to support the mental health of care workers, which has been challenged by the COVID-19 and its restrictions. The pandemic also made clear how much the care sector can integrate the use of ICT to provide remote care when needed. Finally, it should be considered that knowledge related to infection prevention and the correct use of PPE has become more important than ever and should be included as a key-topic in the training. More generally, research highlights the shortage of trained staff in the care sector and the specific challenges related with the predominantly migrant background of care workers, which makes it necessary to consider cultural and linguistic barriers when planning a training programme.
