Given the importance of the human health and social work sectors and the specific occupational safety and health (OSH) risks their workers face, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) carried out a follow-up sectoral study of the European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER) in 2021. With the aim of presenting the main findings of this study, EU-OSHA also organised a expert webinar on 4 May 2022, gathering more than 60 OSH specialists, European Commission representatives, and EU social partners. How is safety and health managed in the human health sector, which are the drivers and barriers, or worker participation as a key factor for efficient OSH management, were some of the topics addressed during the workshop.
